Human, animal, and plant bodies are cast in radioactive uranium glass.
Uranium glass was once made into tableware and household items but fell out of widespread use when the availability of uranium by-products for domestic use was curtailed during the Cold War period (1950s to 1990s). Uranium oxides are added as decorative colourants to the glass, with levels varying through different historical periods. Signaling danger or lack of containment, the objects fluoresce under Ultraviolet light.
